I truly felt like I was stepping back into the past as I explored the entire city firsthand, admiring the beautiful traditional architecture. What was even more special and meaningful was having the rare chance to actually experience and actively participate in traditional Hindu and Buddhist rituals. Listening to the calming chants, ringing the temple bells, and watching the local people offer bright flowers to their gods were incredibly precious moments for me. These were deeply touching experiences, and definitely something I wouldn't have been able to safely or easily experience if I had traveled to this foreign country all by myself as a typical tourist.
