The most valuable part of my internship was not only what I learned, but how I learned it. At the beginning, I told my mentor that I understood almost nothing about how receivers actually worked beyond their names on a specification sheet. Instead of simply explaining the theory, he walked me over to an actual receiver in his office, showed me its components, and drew a diagram explaining how the system processed signals. Seeing the physical device together with the explanation made a complicated concept suddenly understandable. This experience showed me that good mentorship is not just about providing answers—it is about helping others build the ability to understand. Supporting the preparation of proposals for the European Space Agency required comparing more than twenty GNSS receivers, helping me interpret complex technical information effectively
