This was an eye-opening experience. We learned how to handle a crime scene from the very beginning. The first lesson was simple: don't rush in, or you might put yourself in danger. You must first check if the animal is dead, then observe the surrounding environment, and plan your route to the crime scene to avoid destroying footprints or contaminating evidence.
