Master in Engineering Science and Ocean Engineering
My internship in the Czech Republic has been an inspiring journey. Working with an outstanding engineer, Ludek, I learned not only how to implement algorithms but also why certain designs are chosen for efficiency and maintainability. I improved my skills in Git, computational efficiency, and algorithm performance evaluation. Using AI-assisted editors like Cursor sped up development and taught me how to collaborate with new tools. Ludek introduced me to computational geometry, showing how to translate complex math into code. The kindness of my colleagues helped me adjust to living abroad despite language and cultural challenges. I also gained insight into the European industrial ecosystem and its strict standards, especially in railway systems. Traveling Europe and connecting with NTU alumni broadened my worldview and career outlook. This internship greatly enhanced my technical skills and personal growth, and I’m deeply thankful for everyone who supported me.
