Bachelor in Electrical Engineering
What struck me most was how busy everyone was, and in what way. Most students carried an industry internship alongside projects of their own that they hosted themselves. Nobody was waiting to be handed something to do. Opportunities were abundant, and the binding constraint on any given person was attention rather than access. Coming from an environment where the shape of the work is more often handed down, this was the most useful thing I observed all month. In a lab like this, initiative is the currency, and the people who do well are the ones who arrive with a question already in hand.
