Bachelor in Bio-Industry Communication and Development
This summer, I had the chance to intern at Aqua Baan in Lyon, France, which was a dream come true. I worked mainly on procurement tasks like finding suppliers, requesting quotes, and comparing offers. I enjoyed the mix of communication, research, and strategy involved in making deals. Although I studied agricultural economics, I hadn’t known much about aquaculture before, so learning about the equipment and industry was eye-opening. I also got to understand international trade terms like Incoterms and how they affect shipping. The team was very welcoming and helped me adjust to life in France. Outside work, I explored Lyon’s culture, attended festivals, and traveled to other cities. Living in France taught me to slow down and enjoy simple moments. Overall, this internship helped me grow professionally and personally, and made me want to work in international environments in the future.
