This program opened my eyes to the complexity of wildlife conservation and crime, and gave me a much deeper understanding of South Africa—its ecosystems, its people, and the very real challenges they face. I left the country not only with new knowledge and skills, but also with admiration for the people who dedicate their lives to protecting wildlife and upholding justice in demanding environments. If I ever get the chance, I would love to return to South Africa—not just as a visitor, but perhaps as someone who can contribute more to conservation and science.
