Bachelor in Information Management
My internship was a great learning journey combining data science, machine learning, and causal inference while adapting to a new country and international work culture. Although I had a background in large language models, I lacked real world experience with causal inference and big data. During the internship, I learned to apply difference in differences methods, meta learners, and worked with tools like XGBoost on large retail datasets. My mentor guided me to think critically and improve my coding and communication skills. Collaborating with interns from different countries expanded my perspective, and living in Spain taught me about work life balance and cultural differences. The workdays were intense but colleagues were supportive, which helped me adjust. I faced challenges with technical complexity and language barriers but learned to be patient, ask questions, and grow from mistakes. Overall, this internship strengthened my technical skills, communication, and adaptability in a global workplace.
