ORGANIZATION INFO

The Polynesian Cultural Center first opened its doors in 1963 as a way for students at the adjacent Church College of Hawaii (now Brigham Young University Hawaii) to earn money for their education and as a means to preserve and portray the cultures, art and crafts of the people of Polynesia. This 42-acre cultural attraction has stood the test of time and grown to become Hawaii’s number one paid attraction that attracts nearly 1 million visitors per year. A 12 time winner of the prestigious Honolulu Star Advertiser Best Attraction award, the Polynesian Cultural Center employs nearly 1200 people in positions representing multiple industries from marketing, to sales, to culinary services and more.
