Wistron is one of the world's largest suppliers of information and communications products. In addition to its headquarters in Taiwan, the company operates several global logistical and distribution bases across Asia, Europe, and North America.
The company entered the Czech Republic in the early 2000s, following its spin-off from Acer in 2001, and established its European base in Brno, the country’s second-largest city. Brno was chosen for its strong tradition of engineering, skilled workforce, and strategic position in Central Europe. Initially, Wistron focused on consumer electronics assembly, but the site soon evolved into a hub for advanced production. In 2009, Wistron launched one of the largest server manufacturing sites in the region and began a long-term collaboration with Hewlett-Packard. This marked a turning point in Wistron’s Czech journey, as the focus shifted towards high-value products and global clients. Over the following decade, the Brno site expanded its capacity and expertise, serving industry leaders such as Microsoft, Meta, Fujitsu, and Amazon. Today, Wistron CZ employs more than 600 people of various nationalities, combining local talent with international know-how. Through continuous growth and innovation, Brno has become one of Wistron’s key European locations, contributing to the company’s global success.
Alongside manufacturing, Wistron has developed a robust R&D infrastructure and deep expertise in product development. Its outstanding technical teams have successfully delivered many crucial projects for international customers. Through close collaboration, Wistron rapidly develops innovative, market-leading consumer electronic products that meet evolving demands.
Equally important is Wistron’s professional and dependable service network, which enables customers to devote more resources to product marketing and strategic planning. Whether in design, manufacturing, or after-sales support, Wistron provides comprehensive solutions. Its design team manages the entire pre-manufacturing process, from product conceptualization, industrial and structural design, and environmental testing to safety certification and product launch. With strong system integration capabilities, Wistron can quickly adapt to customer needs, offering a full range of product assembly and support services. To further meet market demands, its customer service department provides project planning support for product differentiation and market segmentation—ensuring Wistron remains a trusted partner throughout the product lifecycle.
